Design is about communication. I use color, typography, and layout to turn ideas into something people can understand at a glance. My process blends creativity and logic so the result feels natural and complete.

This series is my way of testing how I can guide ChatGPT in writing stories that feel more natural. There are habits I’m working to train away from. It likes using run-on sentences and dashes. There are also habitual word choices, like “hum” and its variations. The project is in jest, so the pen name is Justa Jest. Whether it ever gets published is something I haven’t decided.
Ashmark Studio
I built this brand in Figma. I used charcoal and cream to create high contrast for the base colors. People with eye problems, such as glaucoma, often say that pure white and pure black cause discomfort when they visit sites. For that reason, I avoided that combination. I used orange as an accent to bring energy to the palette. Bodoni Moda is the primary typeface because it feels elegant, and Quicksand pairs well to balance the design. I chose them to make the site feel closer to print, like a magazine or newspaper. Cookie serves as the accent font, though I had to use it as an image because Elementor Pro would not render it in the live view.
Horizon Railways
I created these tickets for my User Interface course at SNHU. The project began with old bus tickets and user feedback from the “client.” Based on that feedback, I designed three updated ticket options, focusing on clarity and ease of use.
I organized the information so users could scan it. The train number, departure, and arrival stand out in bold to draw attention first. I added seating charts and QR codes so travelers could check details and board without confusion.
I balanced text, icons, and white space to keep each design clean. Every element has a clear place on the ticket, which keeps the layout consistent and easy to follow. These choices show how I used UI and UX design to make the tickets simple, functional, and reliable.
